Côtes du Roussillon Villages is an appellation, or wine growing area, for dry red wines from Roussillon, southern France. The addition of ‘Villages’ is a step up in quality from the more generic Côtes du Roussillon. The grapes most commonly used in Côtes du Roussillon Villages wines are Carignan, Grenache and Syrah, and this wine follows that recipe. The plots are located on the slopes of the picturesque  Agly Valley. This wine is big, bold and vibrant. Classic red from southern France. It’s warm and sunny and produces wine that is as warming as a summer day in Marseille. We reckon a cheeky little Beef Cheek and this wine are a match made in heaven.
