Tarrawarra Pinot Noir- Yarra Valley, VIC-2018

Aroma: Red Raspberry + Fresh Mushroom | Palate: Red Currant + Cranberry

100% Pinot Noir from Yarra Valley, VIC

With over eighty vineyards dispersed throughout Healesville, Coldstream, Yarra Glen, Seville and Lilydale, the Yarra Valley is Australia’s premier cool-climate region, colder than Bordeaux but slightly warmer than Burgundy. Cool climate means more time ripening producing complex layers and a range of flavours and aromas. Certain wine varieties will not fully ripen if grown in a cool climate, expect to find more white wine varieties and elegant or aromatic reds. Red wines from cool climates tend to have higher acidity, taste more spicy, have lower alcohol, and a lighter body. Produced from ten sites across TarraWarra, this expression represents the essence of Yarra Valley vineyards. The state Pinot Noir displays lifted raspberry aromas, with a hint of earthiness and subtle oak. The flavours combine full fruit with fine long tannins, finishing with the elegance and finesse that is the hallmark of Yarra Valley Pinot Noir.
