Natillie Johnson has been working in the wine industry for 8 yrs, growing up locally she developed a soft spot for the Yarra Valley. After post grad at Melbourne Uni she put her education to work completing vintages in the US, Canada, New Zealand and Germany. A happy accident spurred the very first wine under her own name in 2019, the wine was showstopping. Now she’s back with her 2020 vintage, the fruit came from a little vineyard called Yarraloch in the heart of the Yarra Valley. The fruit was grown by the owner this year and Tillie will be taking over most of the viticulture for vintage 2021. The wine saw 10% whole bunch and has 20% new oak. Gentle, gravity based extraction during fermentation, this wine is supple and layered with fragrant spice and bright red fruit with beautifully well integrated oak giving it complexity but also a fun bright springtime drink.
