Who are we
Northside Wines was founded by Jacob Davey and Charlotte Sewell out of their passion for unique wines and the desire for a relaxed space to savor them. The establishment of Northside Wines took place in 2019, just six months before the initial lockdown. Throughout the years, we have expanded the business in various ways, welcomed a greyhound into the family, and even had a baby. However, the fundamental ethos of Northside Wines remains unchanged.
Northside Wines focuses on exceptional alternative grape varieties cultivated in Australia. While the market is saturated with traditional grape varieties, they may not always thrive in the Australian climate, requiring extensive irrigation and chemical intervention. By cultivating grape varieties that are better suited to the environment, sustainable wine production is achieved, reflecting the true essence of the land. All our wines primarily come from Australian winemakers who share the same values.
In addition to an extensive selection of wines by the glass, a full dine-in menu is offered, emphasizing “Modern-Australian” cuisine with a range of family-friendly options. Dietary requirements are catered for across all menus. We aim to provide great value in both the restaurant and bar, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all guests. The chef’s menu, priced at $59 per person, adds an extra touch of delight to every date night.

Our stunning spacious venue can be rented in full or part capacity. We offer various food and beverage packages tailored to your special event. Our dedicated function coordinator will collaborate with you to design your ideal occasion, with transparent pricing and no hidden fees. Whether you desire a highly personalised event or just a gathering space, we can streamline the process for you.

Wine Masterclasses
After our successful Covid initiative, bringing wine tasting experiences to people’s homes, we have gained recognition for our affordable and accessible in-house wine masterclasses.
Our range includes introductory sessions on wines, specialised food and wine pairing classes, and themed masterclasses suitable for all levels of wine expertise.
We also provide exclusive private wine masterclasses for groups of over 10 individuals.
