Description
Barbera – Nebbiolo are the two stars of Northern Italian reds, and are often blended together in Piedmont. Nebbiolo, the forceful and noble grape of Barolo and Barbaresco fame, is juicified by the addition of Barbera and the resulting blend is much more approachable in its youth. The classic pairing of two noble north eastern Italian varieties combine here to create a savoury, elegant red wine with soft fruit and charming length. The Nebbiolo brings excellent tannin structure and finesse with aromas of wild herbs and violets, while the Barbera compliments with ripe, red berry flavours and velvety mouth-feel.
